Downtown Sanford StreetFest & Fireworks has a little something for everyone throughout the day, including an evening dance party and fireworks display. Here’s the activity schedule for the day.

Touch-a-Truck on Steele Street at Carthage Street.

The Pint Sized Pasture petting zoo and games at Steele and Wicker streets.

See what is coming next for Sanford in Tomorrowland on Steele Street. We’ll have samples and activities focused on the Sanford of tomorrow, including train rides and pumpkin painting!

Historic walking tours led by the Lee County Library. Tours will department from the library’s booth in the fun zone at 11am and 2 pm.

Day of the Day Altar – Bring a photo of a loved one who has passed away to add to the Day of the Dead altar on Wicker Street. The altar will be on display at the Lee County Library after StreetFest.

Video games at Hugger Mugger Brewing.

Explore our region’s best outdoor adventures at OutdoorFest featuring Cashion Fishing Rods, Cape Fear River Adventures, Deep River Sporting Clays, Chatlee Boat and Marine, and pickleball!

More Fun in Downtown!

Sanford Farmers’ Market and Children’s Business Fair – Shop local in the Chatham Street Parking Lot from 8am to noon.

Brush & Palette Club Art Show – The Sanford Brush & Palette Club will open its 58th Annual Art Show at the Mann Center (507 N. Steele St) from 10a to 6p.

Enjoy the Lee County Community Orchestra’s “Visions: Love & Landscapes” at the Mann Center starting at 7:30p. Admission is free.

Ring of Fire – Temple Theatre will pay tribute to the music of Johnny Cash at 2p and 7:30p. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.

Boo & Brew Ghost Tour – Pick up a tour pamphlet at the Visit Sanford Welcome Center or look for the 6 Boo & Brew markers throughout downtown.

Downtown Trains scavenger hunt – Pick up a “conductor kit” that includes a Trains in Downtown passport, train whistle, and more at the Visit Sanford Welcome Center.

StreetFest & Fireworks will also offer music on the main stage, located at Wicker and Steele streets, AND performances and music at the Street Stage, located at Carthage and Wicker streets. There’s also LatinoFest on Wicker Street!
